Text message terms (SMS program)
Program name: Northwoods Call Desk lead alerts. Last updated September 3, 2026.
What the messages are
Northwoods Call Desk answers phone calls for small businesses that have signed up as our clients. After a call, we send the client (the business owner or the person they name as on call) a text message summarizing what the caller needs: the job, how urgent it is, the address, a budget if given, and the caller's number. We may also text a short service notice, such as a missed call with no message, or a note about the account.
These messages go only to business owners and staff who have signed up for the service. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we never text the people who call our clients' lines.
How you opt in
You opt in when you sign up for Northwoods Call Desk and give us the mobile number that should receive lead alerts, by phone, email or our onboarding form. We confirm the number with you before the first alert. You may add or change an on-call number at any time by contacting us.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with your call volume. Typically you receive one text per call we take for you. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that number. You will get one confirmation text and nothing further. Stopping texts does not cancel the phone answering service; lead alerts will continue by email and phone call unless you cancel the service.
Help
Reply HELP for help, or contact us at northwoodscalldesk@gmail.com or (920) 806-8267.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include the major US carriers; delivery depends on your carrier and plan.
Privacy
How we handle your number and the information in these messages is described in our privacy policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
